Scenes or monologues? Empty Scenes or monologues?

Post by Daylight Shadow Wed Oct 03, 2012 8:24 pm

    Hey guys!!

As only some of you know, I'm currently studying in an acting school. i just started my second year. Third year is all that is left and then I'm off into the big, scary, oh so competitive world of acting!!

Everyone on AMX are talented and very gifted writers... So I was wondering....

Would anyone like to write up a scene or monologue that I could use in school?
In the second semester of the second year, we have a scene project. Basically we choose a scene that we worked on during the first semester and we get to perform it to all the students, faculty and other random people that want to see what my school and its students are all about.

I think - maybe it's just me thinking this but I could be wrong- that it could be cool if someone actually acted out a short play, scene or monologue that one of you wrote!!

So..... Let me know what you think about this??

    Much love and great appreciation...

Your friendly (hopefully) future actress. Smile

I've written monologues before and edited scripts for my 'major' type class in High School.

What kind of theme were you looking for in your piece? Anything in particular?

I think it's a pretty awesome idea as a whole though!

Anything goes really. I normally go for the dramatic, dark situations but I can do comedy as well.

    And thank you!

I tend towards the darker side of Theater, heavy on silences.
Maybe I'll think about contributing in some way.

Though the real writers on AMX would do a much better job than I. Razz

Aw, that's right, I'm the dream guy right? XD

Well hey, I can't just let a friend sit there when I could be helping her. Smile
Let's see what the others think though.
