The Island of Doctor Moreau.

This roleplay is somewhat based on The Island of Doctor Moreau, a novel written by H.G. Wells. Just as a heads up. Oh, and this will be somewhat of a Victorian Steampunk role play.

In the year 1896, disappearances became regular in the Caribbean sea. Ships would disappear, and no survivors would be found. Well, thats where we come in. For one reason or another, we were on a ship that had crashed. We were then picked up by another ship going to another Island. Treated like kings, we immediately trusted the ships sailors. However, on the present day island of Curacao, we would find our only Hell.

For, the island of Doctor Moreau, a English doctor who was infamous for preforming vivisection on both humans and animals side by side with his brothers, sisters, and friends. Many wild animals not indigenous to this area were moved from Africa, South America, and Europe. His game? To hunt, and then he may preform vivisections on animals he has captured. Being an experienced in such operations, he soon figured out how to combine human and animal. These creatures had the appearance of animals, but could speak as humans. On his island, it was soon obvious we were not to be guests anymore. We were the hunt.

It had gotten too easy for Doctor Moreau to hunt these animals now. So, he and his family had to increase the game. This, is where we start.

Doctor Moreau and his family are explaining the game to us. If we are hunted, we are his next experiment. If we survive one week of the hunt, we will be given freedom and cash rewards, along with a trip back to England. The prey will be released at sunset, given one hour to get used to the jungle aspect of the island, and then the hunting will begin.

So, the roles are simple. You are either a hunter/huntress, or the prey.

History: Faith was brought up as a lady in parts of Germany. Having moved around a lot during her younger years she finally ended up in London. Her father finally found it reasonable to settle, as her mother had grown ill with pneumonia . After her mothers passing, Faith and her father were forced to move around once again for more military purposes. Somehow she ended up on that dreadful ship, and now she is here.
