Once upon a time there was Mr. Magnesium Ribbon. This member of the Magnesium family was a very enthusiastic traveler. Mr. Ribbon began his journey when he walked into a town called Reaction1. There, he met a new friend. She was called Ms. Hydrochloric Acid who lived in Graduated Cylinder at 5mL Road. Mr. Ribbon grew very fond of Ms. Acid so they both decided to live together in Graduated Cylinder. They lived fine together, at first, but their relationship began to fizz and dissolve quite quickly. While their relationship was dissolving, Mr. Ribbon's brother came into town. His name was Mr. Ribbon the Second. He grew very, very fond of Ms. Hydrochloric Acid when he was visiting and once Mr. Magnesium Ribbon's relationship completely dissolved to leave nothing but dust, the Second decided to move in. At first, this relationship worked just as well. But then the relationship started to dissolve as well, in the end leaving nothing but a pile of dusty memories with lonely Ms. Hydrochloric Acid.
Meanwhile, in the town of Reaction 2 nearby, Therapist Mrs. Scoopula's advice to help Mr. Magnesium Sulpahte and Mrs. Sodium Carbonate was to split up and move away from each other. As a result, Mr. Sulphate and Ms. Carbonate moved into separate Test Tubes, and continued to live their lives. One day, Mr. Sulphate decided to go to a bar. While he was there, he met a very pretty woman named Water. They quickly fell in love, and were tickled pink about their relationship. Water moved in with Mr. Sulphate but he didn't realize that slowly but surely, his true self was dissolving all to please Water.
On the other side of town, Ms. Sodium Carbonate met a man at a grocery store. His name just so happened to be Water. They dated for a while, but Ms. Carbonate was very cautious. Eventually, Ms. Carbonate caved in and let Water move into her Test Tube. Their relationship was very clear from the start, even though Ms. Carbonate
