    Post by Laurel11 Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:53 pm

We are all at a show...and we were each randomly selected and given backstage tickets. The Ticket tells us to meet at the backstage door 15 minutes after the show ends. Little do we know though, when we get there and after an usher escorts us into a room with a few chairs and a couch, we would be locked in there with no electricity. What are we going to do?

    People:
    Me(September)
    Asher
    Jade
    Daniel
    Mercy

I know not many people are online at the moment....but I'm just going to start anyways, Just post when you get a change.

    ***STARTING***
The show ends and I decide to stay in my seat until the crowd of people trying to leave dies down. I look around the building, at all the empty seats. As soon as the lines get shorter, I get up and leave my seat, I pull my ticket out of my pocket and follow the instructions listed:
'15 minutes after the completion of the show meet promptly at the backstage doors, there an usher with a red blazer will greet you. They will escort you into a room where you will wait until further instructions are given'

I walk around the building, of course getting lost. I stop and find an usher "Excuse me, where are the Backstage doors?" I ask. They look at me confused but nonetheless, they answer "Go down those stairs, turn right, and walk down the hallway and you will see them". I thank then and head down the stairs.

Once the show had ended, I get up from my seat and hear the bustle of people leaving the room. I grab my jacket from behind my chair and my ticket flutters to the floor. In haste, I bend down to pick it up, only to find that the back of the ticket faced upwards, easy for me to read. I pick up the ticket and gaze at the tiny print.

'15 minutes after the completion of the show, meet promptly at the backstage doors. There, an usher with a red blazer will greet you. They will escort you into a room where you will wait until further instructions are given.'

Obeying these instructions seemed like a ridiculous idea, and quite sketchy, but alas, I found my feet walking in the direction of the red rope tied in front of the doors leading backstage. Perhaps luck of the draw resulted in winnings. I shifted my purse higher onto my shoulder and waited, looking around for someone in a red blazer.

Once the crowd filled out the back doors, I plopped out of my seat and read the backstage pass once more. I head towards doorways I didn't even know existed in this place. I saw a sign on a wall that read [Backstage <----] I followed the arrows until I walked into a big man. "Why hello there sir." I smiled looking up at him. He ruffed and pulled me by the arm. "Oww. That doesn't hurt at all." I scoffed sarcastically. He continued to rough house me until we reached a door and he opened it up, inside it was empty. I was thrown inside like a rag doll. "Damn... what a rough houser." I scoffed again, then sat down on the small couch.

ooc - sorry its long. Just like making my opening posts a bit longer.

"Brava! Magnificent! Brilliant! Encore! Encore! Encore!" the sounds of cheering rang through the large audience. There was a round of cheering and applause before people started to stand and shuffle out. Five minutes after the show, and people were already talking about it. Tidbits of the recent event could be heard everywhere. "Direction? Absolutely fabulous!...."

    "It was well done indeed!"

"I loved it Danny!" a voice rang. Danny turned to look down at his girlfriend of two years, and smiled. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," he said, blushing at her. "Oh it was amazing! I didn't think you were interested in his kind of stuff," Ashley, his girlfriend's name, added and she cuffed her left arm around his right. They shuffled out of the audience like the rest, passing people, and letting people pass. He paused before speaking. "So long as you enjoyed it!" It was a corny moment, but that was the kind of thing that Ashley liked about Danny. "Come on, lets go back-" Ashley began before she was cut off. A look of surprised sprang on her face before she pulled out her phone. They stopped, and Danny waited for her to read the text.

"Are you okay?" Danny asked concerned. "No!" she said quickly. "Well... yes... I mean.... I'm fine. But my dad.... he's... they think he's okay, but...."

"Ashley, calm down. What happened?" Danny asked nervous. "I'm-... Not sure," she muttered and dialed some numbers on her phone. Feverishly, she swung the phone to her face, and she began talking quickly.

"Hi! Mum?.... Is he-.... are you.... no... I mean he's here but.... I don't think.... I know they don't get along but.... it would be nice........... in a minute.... really? Okay?" It wasn't much, but the conversation ended quickly. "Is.. everything... alright?" Danny asked, walking behind and holding Ashley. "Yea, I think," she sighed, placing a hand on her head. "My dad got hit by a car though," she answered before Danny posed the question. "Mum's going to be here soon," she added quickly. Again, her phone buzzed. A text. "Scratch that. She's already here."

"Do you want me to come with you?" he asked, following behind Ashley has she left to the exit. "No, it's okay. It's better if I go now. I'll.... speak to you tomorrow," she added quickly, give him a kiss before rushing out the exit.

Danny stood there for a second alone, before stuffing his hands in his pocket. Surprised to find something in his pocket (other than his wallet and phone) he pulled out a thin, flimsy object. The ticket. He laughed at it and was about to toss it when he noticed writing. Not the black print of the ticket, but something hand written. He read it closely. "Back stage?" he muttered. He stood to think before walking towards the stage. "Maybe I could surprise her with an autograph or something...." Danny muttered to himself as he made his way backstage.

Face... Meet floor... Floor? Meet face... What a lovely way to end a concert. I feel a sturdy hand unglue me from the grounda s the crowd of people pass.

    "Uh...Thanks..."

"Anytime, hun..." The male voice says behind me and I turn around to the stranger.

"Call me hun again and I will have your throat."

"Oh..Fiesty..." He winks at me and I turn around in disgust.

I almost get run over again. as the crowd tries to push their way through the doors and I grab onto the frame of the door as my bad ankle gets stepped on...

"God dammit..." I growl slightly and make my way towards the backstage.

I continue down the hallway, when I arrive at two big doors with a ribbon thing that says "Authorized Personnel Only, BACKSTAGE"
I Stop and look at my ticket, then check the time..5 minutes. I turn and look around I see a person(Jade) "Excuse me" I start to say, but then I realize you weren't wearing a red blazer, so you couldn't be the usher. "Nevermind, thats not a red blazer" I say as I lean against the wall and wait.

I sit in the room alone, still. I was early, I muttered to myself, as I looked at my watch, cellphone AND the wall clock. I lied down on the couch waiting for someone or someTHING at this point to arrive so I wouldn't be stuck in such a small room by myself.

Within minutes, the crowd had died down. There we still a few stragglers, but Danny stood there, along, looking around. There was papers of the floor from the programs, and Danny noticed that it was quite a large theater. "It so... odd. Is this what they do?" Danny asked himself as he read over the ticket again. He shrugged it off before looking at his watch. Five minutes.

"Excuse me, could you tell me where backstage is?" Danny asked one of the clean up crew members. "Ah yea. It's back there, anit?" he said, pointing past some doors. His cockney accent was quite thick. "Thanks," Danny tittered as he made his way towards the back stage. Through the doors, Danny found himself in a long, well lit corridor. Though the lights were spread out quite well, it was still clear enough to see every detail. Spaces in between the lights left little dull shadows, which, oddly enough, complimented the corridor. Danny walked down the hallway, his dress boots clicking on the hard concrete. From where he entered, Danny could see a man standing by the door. He made his way along the corridor, the sound of his shoes echoing in the hall.

"Ticket?" the man in red croaked. "Mhmm? Oh, yea?" Danny said, handing him the had written ticket. Danny noticed that there was two hallways to both is right and left where one could enter. Down one of the paths, he could see two girls standing not too far away. "Instructions will be given shortly," he croaked again before pushing Danny though the doors with surprising strength.

Danny stumbled in and noticed someone lying on the couch, starring at the time. "Hey," Danny said politely, leaning against the wall opposite to him. "Got a ticket too eh?" he assumed and paused. "I'm Danny, by the way."

I make my way to backstage and sigh... The crowd was dying down and my ears were still ringing from how loud the music had been. Grumbling under my breath, I pick myself into a quicker step and notice the signs leading backstage.

There was some other person in the room already and I walk over gingerly, sitting down next to him.

I slowly tap my foot, counting teeth boredly and tapping my fingers on my knee.

A tall man in a suit approached me, asking for my ticket. I handed it to him and he observed it with narrow eyes for a few seconds before pocketing the tiny slip of paper. "Enter" he said, pushing the smalls of my back with his large hand. I almost fell through the door as he handled me roughly, before slamming it behind.

A small collection of individuals were already in the room, and I stood against the nearest wall shyly. "Hello" I waved, not making eye-contact with any of them.

I see three people walk into the room and I spring up. I corner myself against the wall, in doubt of what was going to happen here. "Asher." I say, for all three to hear. "Anyone know why we're here?" I ask, taking a minute to look at each one of them and study them.

"Hey," Danny greeted the new comers, smiling at them quickly. "Danny," he finished, informing them of his name.

The room they were in was quite odd. It was painted red, a deep solid red, with a few pictures hanging on the walls. They were of past stars that played in this venue, signed as well. The could could also give on the sense of claustrophobia, whic was happening a bit to Danny, even though it was spacey. "Maybe it was just me," Danny thought to himself as he walked over and stay on a plastic school chair.

"Isn't it to meet the stars?" Danny asked to answer Asher's question. Answering a question with a question. "That is what happens backstage normally," he said with false confidence. He knew he'd never been backstage for anything, and was only here to -possibly- get something for his girlfriend.

"Jade" I smiled shyly at the boy named Danny, and continued to lean against the wall, fiddling with the hair elastics around my right wrist. Maybe it wasn't the best idea coming here, for she knew not what she was here for. There was no one here she recognized, and by the way the others were talking and holding themselves, she guessed they weren't exactly famous. She sighed to herself, staring at the door, debating her leave.

Danny stops and looks over a bit to see the letter. He paused to think, before leaning against the wall again, arms crossed. Closing his eyes, Danny let his head hang as he continued to think. "Why did that sound familiar?" Danny thought to himself. "May I see that?" Danny asked walking over to Asher.

"Thanks," said Danny quietly as he took the letter and read it over. He stood there, reading it over and over, but it didn't seem to change. Not that Danny was expecting it too, but he was hoping he'd realize why it sounded so familiar. "Did anyone else get one of these letters?" Danny asked out loud, keeping his eyes on the page.

Then he stopped reading. Danny looked up a moment, just to check if everyone was still there (a habit) and reached into his pocket, grabbing his ticket. He flipped the ticket over in his fingers to back back side, reading over the message on the ticket. "They're the same," said Danny quietly to himself, before repeating it again to everyone. "Look," he said, sitting on the arm rest by Asher. "The style of words is similar, if not the same, as is the look of the writing. It was written by the same person!" Danny smiled, handing the letter back to Asher. "Of course, why is it hand writtened then? Tickets are usually printed, and why is is specified to specifically you Asher?" he asked, sure that there was a reason why the tickets were like that.
