Shadows on the Walls(Mercy&Monica)

I've been following you around for quite some time. I always needed you to stay here on earth. On your 8th birthday, you had a big bash at the park and I was slowly dying in a car accident nearby the park you held your birthday party at. Ever since then, I've followed you.
I am an earthbound spirit who has been attatched to you your entire life and I've slowly fallen in love with you. I always have watched quietly, helping you subtly through awkward and messy situations. Yet, I can only watch helplessly as you fall in love with the new girl at your school. I start visiting you in your dreams more as my jealously and anger starts to cloud my mind. You begin to notice me slowly.
But what happens when you try to get me to pass over.

I mentally beg her, what was I going to do? Tell her how I died and everything...

KC would bust my perfect bubble world. Ugh. I sigh quietly, watching Monica, wondering what she was planning on doing.

I finally made up my mind and did what KC instructed.
"Ok...this may be crazy...i don't know. I do know or think...yeah there's something around...weird." I paused and shut my eyes. I was rambling. "Ok are you here? The spirit KC told me..Mercy?"

I wince, and place my hand onto hers, using her energies so I am able to move the cup placed on the sheet. I slowly move the cup over the word 'Yes'.

I was too lazy to finish with 'I am here'. I quietly sit back on my heels, taking my hand away from hers.

This freaked me out, feeling her. "Is there some other way...to communicate?" I felt foolish for asking but no harm done.

I slide my fingers over hers again and joking spell out 'KC'.

Then I pause and start sliding the cup again, 'Or dreams.' I finish, taking my fingers of her hand gently. I flick the bangs out of my eyes and notice her pet [cat/dog, you chose] walk in and it [gender/male/female] looks at me for a moment and [barks/hisses]. I attempt to shoo it away with a wave of my hand.

I realised my dog Rufus could see her. "So that explains a lot." I mumbled. "Dreams sounds good...I'd feel...less insane."

I laugh lightly and slowly move the cup around, 'You r not that insane.'

I take my hand off hers again and watch as her dog sits down in front of me. I stare back at Rufus for a moment raising an eyebrow.

I laughed, "Yeah right. I'm believing in ghosts and spirits. Talking to one. That doesn't make me insane?" I asked asI pulled Rufus onto my lap. He was a mixed breed between a schnauzer and some random dog.

I giggle and place my hand on hers and slide the cup around.

'I've seen worse'. I laugh, looking over at her and flick the bangs out of my eyes a bit. It felt nice to finally talk to her. Sure it took a while for me to slide the cup around the board but it was worth it.

"I could bet." I said. "I really don't want to do homework now...Bath sound fun then nap." I paused for a second as a thought in my head started to form. She has been haunting me since I was eight...meaning...she may have..."Oh god have you seen me naked?!" My eyes had grown wide. Imagine all the silly embaressing she may had seen.

I get embarassed a bit and my bangs fall over my eyes a little.

'Only once' I slide the cup around, 'But it was an accident.' I chew on my lower lip, curling my knees up to my chest.

My face flushed red. "Oh..umm...ok well I'm going to bathe then umm nap. See you in my dream?" I asked her. "Boy that sounded silly saying that outloud." I giggled.

I slide the cup over to the Yes on the paper and then flash from on the floor over to her bed. Her dog's ears perk up and his eyes flicker over to me as I move.

I noticed Rufus gaze go to my bed and laughed. "And I used to think he was crazy." I stood up, took my clothes with me and got in my bathroom. I filled the tub, undressed and slipped in. I let my mind fade into memories where some weird things happened in which now made sense. I smiled.

I hum slightly, looking out the window.

Things seemed to be going swimmingly, maybe this wasn't the worst thing... I smile, laying down on the bed.

I took my time to relax. I had to shave unfortunately. I got out, dried up, and got comfy with my grey pullover, and black jogging pants. Then stepped out of the bathroom into my room, on my bed and laid down next to a cool spot.

I feel her lay down next to me and my eyes open slightly. I smile and wished that I could be real... I could hold her hand, and be there for her...instead of just a cool spot in the room.

I shut my eyes and whispered, "See you in my dreams." then dozed off into dreamland for my first actual conversation with her.

I closed my own eyes and listened for the whispers of the awaited dreams. I follow them and enter her mind.

It was all white, planes of white. Maybe I was the only dream she would have for now. I step in, fading from behind a light. I run a hand through my hair and I felt comforted, there were no colors yet, no crazy things running around. She was still in the dozing off stage.

I quietly wait for her to show, taking a look at my worn out black and pink Vans.

I was back in my room and saw Mercy standing there looking down at her vans. I had seen her before but never had realised, had notion of what she was to mean to me. "Hi." I said smiling, "Now we can talk and not feel weirded out so much." I chuckled. "You do look familiar."

"Hey..."

I laugh lightly, "Yeah... It's nice to finally talk... I mean... With you knowing I'm not part of your imagination or something."

I sit down on her bed as the dream returns to a replica of her room. I look up at her for a moment and I chew on my lower lip a moment. I had waited for this, but I was somewhat nervous...

I smiled and sat next to her and extended my hand. "Hi I'm Monica." I giggled knowing this may be ridiculous but I had no idea what I wanted to tell her or ask first.

I laugh, sitting up straight and shaking her hand.

"What a pleasure to meet you Monica. My name is Mercy." I say with a big smile on my face.

When she took my hand I was surprised "Oh wow I expected cold hands." I laughed. "Nice meeting you too. So..." I pulled my hand away after we shook. "No fair, bet you know ALL abiut me. Tell me a bit of yourself? I'm curious."

I look down for a moment and chew on the inside of my cheek.

"Well.... I'm Mercedes Thompson... I died in a car crash eight years ago... As you now know..." I twirl my hair around my finger, looking down at the rip in my jeans.
