Elves
*Drow
Drow are a dark-skinned sub-race of elves that predominantly live in the Underdark. They are generally evil, though exceptions do exist. They are shorter than many other sub-races of elves and, in common with most Underdark-dwelling creatures, have a tremendous resistance to magic. They also have a much higher birthrate than most other elves, but strife tends to keep their numbers down. Drow have obsidian colored skin and pale yellow (or pale golden), silver or white hair, the latter being by far the most common. This hair is carefully groomed and cared for by most drow and worn long with jewelry and other accessories decorating it. Like all elves, drow are incapable of growing beards, though many males are fond of long sideburns.
*Surface elves
Surface Elves tend to be fair, beautiful and graceful, though they are very often frail as well. Elves are also universally long-lived, achieving what they consider adulthood at 110 years of age and living for up to 700, and more years thereafter. Because of their long lifespan, most Elves have a patience uncommon to other humanoids. Elves view the lives and concerns of younger races as fleeting and take less joy in the short-term victories that other races have to content themselves with. Instead, Elves take pleasure in things that have more endurance, such as the arts or the honing of one’s skills.
--------------------------------------------------------
Halflings
Halflings, are humanoid creatures similar in shape to humans, but around half the size. Halflings get along well with most of the other races and are known for their curiosity and tendency to collect things. In many ways, halflings resemble small humans and usually have the same proportions as the typical human adult. Most halflings, regardless of their skin complexion, which has a similar range to humans, although it is commonly ruddy in hue, have dark hair and eyes. Halflings have lifespans comparable with, but slightly longer, than humans. A halfling is typically considered an adult in their early twenties and some live into their 150s
---------------------------------------------------------
Dwarves
Dwarves are a short race, as their name implies, standing between 4'3" and 4'9" on average. What Dwarves lack in height they make up for in bulk; they are, on average, about as heavy as humans. Like humans dwarves have a wide variety of skin, eye, and hair colors. Male dwarves are often bald and grow thick facial hair sometimes used to display social status. Dwarves age much like humans but over a longer period of time, remaining vigorous well past 150 years. Most dwarves live to see their bicentennial and a few live to be over 400.
----------------------------------------------------------
Humans
Humans are widespread, can be found in most regions and, in general, are fierce and disagreeable, which can sometimes lead certain other races to view them with contempt. They are renowned for their diversity and ambition, and although they lack specialization, they can excel in many areas.

Planetouched
*Tieflings
Tieflings are humans that are infused with the touch of the fiendish planes, most often through descent from fiends — demons, devils, evil deities, and others who have bred with humans. While some look like normal humans, most retain physical characteristics derived from their ancestor, with the most common such features being horns, non-prehensile tails, and pointed teeth. Other, more unusual characteristics include a sulfurous odor, cloven feet, or a general aura of discomfort they leave on others. Tiefling skin is usually human-like in color, though extending past normal human colors into reddish hues as well. Tiefling hair is often the same color as human hair as well, though dark blue, red, or purple are also common shades among the race.
*Aasimar
Aasimar, humans that have in their blood some good, otherworldly characteristics. They are often, but not always, descended from angels. Aasimar bear the mark of their celestial touch through many different physical features that often vary from individual to individual. Most commonly, aasimar are very similar to humans, like tieflings and other planetouched. Nearly all aasimar are uncommonly beautiful and still, and they are often significantly taller than humans as well. Most aasimar have pupil-less pale white, gray, or golden eyes and silver hair. Many aasimar also have a light covering of feathers on their shoulders.
