Breaking the Beyond. Empty Breaking the Beyond.

Post by Zalgo the Imminent Sat Oct 08, 2011 9:57 pm

(I wrote this with a time limit of approximately 15 minutes and was only given one word. So this is my horrible poem. Because I suck at poetry.)

    Fire, Water, Air and Earth
Are no longer worth what they were worth.

    The elements we plainly see
Were split to be what they may be.

Now ice and time and plants and space
Have put the originals in their place.

No more are they held by the chain that binds,
But together do they seek their finds.

And never see the Dark of day
For Light is always in the way.

A more beautiful sight to behold
May not be found by the bitter cold.

I like it! =D Was your one word "Element"? Just a guess. I think it's good. nice and simple. Poems don't have to contain strange rhythms or contain ridiculously intellectual words to be good! =D

By the way... CV claimed , but that wasn't why I wasn't to reply.

    Actually, the word was beyond.

Don't ask how my mind related beyond to elements. I just work that way.

Probably because you apply the thought of Beyond, as something transcending material form, something at it's most basic. I.E that version of the four mythical elements.

I would have related the Beyond to space, Hell, or uncertainty, but that's just me.

That's what most of the people there wrote about. Also about "transcending their existence to break free of pain because they're wusses."

Yeah. Because facing the horror of your existence is easy, right?

Also, maybe you chose to do differently just because the other option was too mainstream. You dirty Hipster.

Alix, don't be offended by Cryptic if the OP isn't. A little tip there.

Also, Cryptic, Fact. On both counts.
