Why

Why can’t I forget?
Why can’t I regret?
Why can’t I see?
And why can’t I be?

Why can’t I be happy
As I was before
And enjoy the full day
Without closing so many doors

Why can’t I be content
And just experience life
All the ups and the downs
Without so many worries and strife

Why can’t I feel
That continuous Strength, oh so deep,
That propelled me so much before
But now can barely be found even in my deepest sleep

Why can’t I love
That love so strong
That nothing can break it
Due to such a passionate bond

Most importantly,

Why can’t I perceive
The obvious.
I’m here to receive,
And yet, I’m so oblivious.
You are life, You are joy.
So instead,
I will no longer dread.
Now all that is left to be asked,
Is why hold back?
