The roleplay’s set in 2035. Though years have passed since present time, much of everyday life is the same, except, one thing. Years ago, in 2020, a government organization captured a serial killer who murdered people by amputating and cutting off his victim’s body parts. When he was caught, they realized that he was what they call a ‘vampire’ or as the government classified them: ‘homo immortalis’. These creatures possessed the ability to rejuvenate themselves by drinking blood of animals, but human blood was the most effective. They could also heal from any wound unless the wound was caused by silver, wood or fire. Nonetheless, they still felt the pain so shooting them would still paralyze them for a certain period of time. The government wanted to kill these homo immortalis’s but the citizens and people of the world denied that kind of persecution and rebelled against it. So, the government came up with a different plan to send these vampires into an institute to teach them to control their urges to drink blood. That’s how Vampire Academy came into being.
Those who are infected by the influenza that turns them into vampires begin school at the age of 14 or so as their instinct to hunt for blood begins nearly at that age. Now, 15 years have past by since the creation of the academy. Once they reach full maturity at about the human age of 21, they become a full vampire, causing them to age. Now, the tricky thing is, if they don’t drink blood after they reach full maturity, they will age about 10 times faster, leaving them only 6 or 7 years of life left. So, in order to prevent massive murder, the vampires learn the skills in the academy to only drink blood when necessary and ask humans for blood before biting ( which sounds ridiculous, I know). There are often cruel human murderers who drain out blood of their victims with pumps to make it look like the vampires committed the murder.
But this time, a recording of bunch of vampires murdering innocent people are caught on camera. And the government plans to shut down the academy if the vampires aren’t caught and that means that the government will kill every single last vampire in the academy and anywhere else. So join and help the vampires prove your innocence. You can be a freshman vampire a senior vampire, a human helper or anyone else you want to be! Join now!
