All-Animal Role-play

Welcome to the menagerie. A place were animals roam. We are all wild or stray, forgotten and lost. However, now is the time we see the light. Not death, for death is a weakness. We see the light that is freedom. Slowly, we are becoming self aware. Aware of our surroundings and our situation. Aware of ourselves and each other. This is our breakthrough.

With great power comes great responsibility. What will will do with our new found freedom? Should you choose to live on basic instinct and indulge in killing others? Or shall you learn how to co-exist with your fellow beasts? Whatever you choose, you have hard times ahead.

As we all decide our own paths, we discover that we have an enemy amongst us. She is beautiful! An albino white. Her eyes are red with a powerful glow. She has such strength in both mind and body, but she is afraid. So very scared. Because this group is now self aware, she may no longer be accepted. She may be hated. Loathed. Shunned. So she attacks. Her attempts to kill us are endless and blood-thirsty, and in our defence, we try to attack back. This deems challenging, as she has such great powers of strength and agility, but then again, she is only one animal.

So, we are all animals. NOT humans that can transform into animals. Just animals. Nor do we have magical powers. We are ordinary. Some can be stronger or smarter than others, but there are no strange abilities involved. Please choose wild or stray animals! No chihuahuas or anything. And nothing mythical please. No one is owned by humans, and despite all being different, we can still communicate with each other.

The role of the Albino antagonist is already taken by Mireya, sorry.

I don't have a finalized plot yet. I'm been having small pow-wows with people. I shall Pee Em you.

Oooookay. So I suppose I shall start this. It can't go too far without Mireya, but we can start anyway.

Jade paced around her cage, her paws shifting the uncomfortable straw and getting caught between her pads. She winced as she pulled the excess out with her teeth. The bars of her cage rang with each step as her head pounded and her tail drooped. She longed to hunt, but it was impossible in her captive state. Her food dish was empty, but the scent of deer was close by. How she craved to run and feel the wind in her fur as she pounced on a gazelle. But alas, it was just a dream.

Yea I don't know how to start this but I hope this is good enough.


Jessica started to chase a butterfly. She was alone almost all her life. She stopped when she saw a lake. She soon started to bounce around on the shore. She even caught a fish. Jessica cheerfully walked to her abounded old house that she claims as home.

I crouch so low that I could feel my heartbeat rebound from the soft dirt. I could feel a soft growl building in my throat. It was probably more of a purr from the satisfaction I was having form this hunt. I have the scent of a deer buck deep in my nose. My whiskers were twitching violently against the twigs and small trees that I happened to pass by. All four of my legs were trembling from the excitement of the hunt. I push off of the soft ground and dead leaves, I dug in and lauched myself outward at the deer. My eyes were focused on my next meal, dead ahead.

Ooc:....... you guys do realize that we are in a menagerie... right?

I sat up in a tree, poking the feathers carefully in to place. It was so much safer up here, all major predators were on the ground through the invisible wall. She looked down at a creatures.

The mountain lion's blue eyes looked around, a low growl bubbling up in her throat. She hated being in this cage. She paced the ground in what space she had, head down, but eyes up.

The instant in which I felt the warm flesh enter my mouth. The hot blood running across my tongue and through all the crevasses in my mouth. I started awake, hitting my head on the ceiling(?) of my cage. I moaned deeply and let out a rawr.

Now I do, lol.
Jessica was sleeping under a tree. She heard little kids yelling. Someone threw a piece of popcorn, which hit her on the head. She yawned while stretching. She got on her paws and growled. Its just seem to amuse them even more. She walks up to her tray to drink some water. Jessica licked her paws. “I hate this place” she said in her mind.

Hmm, I think I'd like to be a fer-de-lance for my normal animal. So beautiful, so deadly...

bic: The venomous beauty slithered back in forth in the plexi-glass cage that they kept her in. She hated this with passion, as much as she hated what they kept giving her. Oh how her fangs dripped with practically corrosive venom begging for them to drop something a little more substantial than a mouse inside for her. She wanted another snake...She wanted that snake. She eyes the cage away from here, on the opposite side of the room. They knew better than to house a snake-eater with another snake. The cobra rose with her dramatic hood opened as she looked out, surveying the cages nearest to her. She flicked her tongue, oh the torture. She could smell them in the air, but alas, she could not taste them...

The bothrops asper lay languidly draped over the branch in her enclosure. This was all wrong. It was so cold. The lighting was all wrong. The ground didn't smell right. The cage was too small. She wanted her trees, and they wondered why she would not eat? It was not the right time. She couldn't tell what time it was. She hoped against hope that they might all be moved outside, where the light might shine down on her exquisitely patterned body washing her with warmth, instead of burning one part of her tail and leaving the rest of her so dreadfully cold.

"morning sleeping beauty, sleep well" i asked seeing the other tiger wake up "never seen one like you before" i said laying curled up in my cage waiting to be let out

Someone started to pull on Jessica’s fur. Jessica cried for help. Jessica managed to scratch the woman. “That wild thing scratched me! They should kill her. When they do, I want her fur. It is so soft. I can make a coat,” she said. Jessica growled at her. “People have no respect for us!” she said roars.

"Who is sleeping beauty?!" I proclaim. "And yes. I know you haven't....I am the only one of our kind." I said, feeling quite pround of myself. "That is why they let you out of the cage. They can spare you....not me."

The albino cobra thudded her tail against the glass and crawled amid the cracks in the joints of the box, probing for an opening. There had to be a way out of here. There had to be.

The fer-de-lance watched the cobra with curious eyes. In truth, she was fearful of the cobra. She eyed the workers, noting their fearful but marveling stares. She would only be handled by someone who was either very skilled or very stupid.

The people were all staring at the beautiful and rare birds, showing off below me. They were nothing more then vain creatures with colorful feathers. I returned to picking at my feathers.

A door opened to the other side of the metal room, the mountain lion gave a fierce growl as a couple workers walked in.

One chuckled, "Settle down kitty cat," he said in a mock tone. As he bent down to look in her cage, a growl rumbled deep inside her as she bared her teeth. The man's eyes widened.

The feline was tired of this, tired of being screwed around with, tired of being locked up. She'd had enough.

Jessica heard something fall. She went behind her little tree finding a dead rabbit. “Meal time!” she said pouncing at the dead rabbit. “Joy kill” she said starting to eat the rabbit. “I wonder how fish tastes like,” she said watching a cub eating a fish.

"not as many of my type around these days,and let me out, that is as rare as real food around here sleep beauty" i chuckled, marveling at him "whats your name " i asked to break the silence
