It’s never easy going through Spartan Training. Especially when you are the newest group to endure it. Before Master Chief battled the invasion of the Covenant on Reach, a different form of Spartans took over the planet. We are the forgotten ones. Our Spartan race is soon to die out, but we keep fighting, keep training, keep defending Reach in case of a sudden attack. Our Spartan race is unique. We each posses up to three powers or abilities that aid us during our battles. Whether it’s telekinesis or flight, pyrokinesis or morphing, all these special powers and abilities serve us great use.

As our training draws to a close, we notice a disappearance of a few members of our group. There are no invasions, and no wars, so what is the cause of their absence? ‘Never leave a man behind’ is a famous saying spread across the stars, dating back to Earth-days, but there is very little time to organize a search party. Routine missions take up the majority of our time and concentration, and included with our training, preparing for attacks, war, or invasions are all we can concentrate on. However, during one of our routine missions,we discover something both highly shocking, and more dangerous than many obstacles we have ever faced before: Our missing Spartans. At first, we feel hope and relief. We lower our defenses and welcome the return of our fellow men... until they attack. These lost Spartans have become rouge for unexplainable reasons, and we find ourselves stranded on this distant planet, at war, battling and fighting those who were once our friends, but have since become our enemies.

I raise my eyebrows and sigh deeply. "In mine?...Uhm...about fourteen. Including myself. Why? Have something in mind?" I always have liked the recon missions. That's why I signed up for being stationed at that base. Lot's of sneaking, less fighting. It was easier on me, since I didnt really have any powers like the rest of them. Is was easier to do missions on my own...or with a small group of ODSTs. My eyes widened a bit as I studied her expression. Looking for any hint in guessing what she was going to say next.

"Fourteen. Good, good." I paused, thinking for a while. Again, I put my hand on my helmet. Office work wasn't for me. "I have another Spartan in mind. Stealthy, agile, fast. Possesses powers, and although not the strongest, has strong will. Perhaps you could take them on? They need no training." I look up at him.

I smirked. All the loss and grief from the last battle left my mind for a good bit. "Going on a mission, eh? Who is the Spartan?"

"Me." I state simply. "If you'll take me on." I smile at him. I need something to get my mind off the others, if not, finding them in all possibilities.

I sat up quickly, then rose to my feet. "I like the way that sounds..." A small smile appears across my face. "What's the mission's details ma'm?"

"That's another thing" I say. "In regards to anything relating to the mission, I take orders from you. Other than that, do not forget your position." I reach for my helmet, trusting that I am doing the right thing.

"major, lt.colonel one more surviour reporting in from the recently lost base" i say pulling off my extreamly damaged armour "field marshal hayes reporting in" i breathed out basically dropping to the ground "the forces that took the base are a little better off then me but i took out as many as i could, they are a dozen wraiths less" i mumble trying to get off the ground

"Stuck on guard duty again" said Symonds as I walked towards the main gate. He raised his assault rifle and rested it on his shoulder.

"Not today" I replied Lifting up the sniper I was holding "I'm here to say that you are going to be relieved by Charters at 1300"

"Their sending Spartans out to give messages! man that must really suck" Symonds said with a slight grin.

"Its been a slow week" I said turning on my heel and heading back towards the inner base. As I walked past a group of marines they stopped and saluted before carrying on with what they were doing.

There was a roar as 2 Pelicans came into view as well as their escort of 4 Hornets. People threw up their hands to cover their eyes as dust was kicked up from the floor in huge quantities. I stood there my rifle by my side watching the landing.

As soon as the Pelicans landed and dropped their ramps men started to run off there were a few stretchers and 2 of them were covered head to foot. <More casualties> I though to myself and I carried on walking towards where a rough,ready and damaged Warthog had been parked.

I nod to Jade and smile, "Good to have to you aboard then." I replace my helmet on my head and turn around. Just then another Spartan, this one didn't look very well off, came barging in talking of barely surviving the same attck I was in. I crouch slightly and I pull him to his feet, helping him to sit in the nearest chair. "What unit ar-...were you in soldier?! Hayes you said? I don't recall a Hayes being stationed at Point 0114."

As the other Spartan enters, I rush to the tap and run cold water into a glass. I hand it to the Spartan, ready to hear his story. This was going to be a difficult mission, but I was fully trusting of the team.

"wasn't stationed there major, I was there being promoted to field marshal,the commander was there, but I couldnt save him, he suffered server plasma burns Jade, he gave me a message for you" I say handing her the data drive I was to deliver to her and removed my helmet last "They have us out numbered at least 20 to 1 out on the battle field, and that isn't including the Hunters" I hiss as I remove armour fragments the were welded to my wounds

I took the flash drive from him and slipped it into the USB port on the desktop situated on my desk. A single message popped up on the screen. 'Never forget. A spartan never dies. Report: Missing In Action'. I stared at the screen for a while, then turned around. "This means trouble."

i heard what she said and looked at the others i was the only other person that knew "jade he also said i needed to make my choice on my next in command because well our ranks have been desimated after the loss of the dawn,destiny and hope, i know i didn't leave things in the best way last 3 years ago but i need some one watching my back someone i know i can trust, we lose this planet then next stop our home...reach, i am not just asking for your help" i turn to the other officer in the room "i need you and your troop as well, just say no if you don't want a part of this" i said trying my hardest to stay on my feet
