Fable of a Freak [Faith & Vasilissa]

My story: You know how most kids run away to the circus? Well I’m running from it. When I was ten years old, I went to the circus with my family. I got separated from both my parents so I freaked out. The ringleader said he’d help me… But instead he kidnapped me. Now I’ve been stuck here for the past six years. For five years, I’ve been trying to find a way to get out. It hasn’t worked out very well. Until tonight. The ring leader is piss drunk and he’s in bed. Can’t hear anything or feel anything. I hope. I left his little trailer, and went to the strong man. The only one who understands me and can break the stupid chain around my neck. Which he has. I’m not fast enough to run out from the ground so the strong man helped me with that as well. We stood at the front gates and I couldn’t move. Maybe it was because I didn’t want to run with this stupid dress on, or maybe I was scared. But I was pushed ahead. “Run” were the last words I heard from the circus, and I was off. Running into the city. I could see all the lights ahead. In the city, I sat on a crate in an alley way. Terrified and alone.

Your story: You’re an author(Being typical) But you’re one of the youngest authors ever. You live alone, and you always work late nights in the office trying to get your manuscript done so your publisher will stop nagging you. You always eat take out food, and sit at your desk. Your usually moody all the time. But there’s the odd time where you’re actually a sensitive person. But that is very… Very rare. You usually don’t leave the until 2 in the morning. Like tonight. Now you’re driving home in your sports car Not caring about anything again. You just want to go home… And sleep.

How we tie together: On your way home, at two in the morning as usual, your head lights flash off something sparkly. You tried to ignore it, but it didn’t work out well. You look up to see a girl, who is no younger than you. That girl is me. You get confused as to what I’m doing out so late so you pull over. You don’t know why but you walk up to her and touch her shoulder. She’s automatically scared of you. Mainly because she hasn’t talked to anyone in a long time… You can tell that she’s been abused so somehow you manage to convince her to go back to your loft with you. She’s far too tired to even fight against it, so she just caves in and agrees to it. But when she wakes up in the morning… She’s confused and starts screaming. Anything can happen from that point on

"Yo0u are gorgeous so I dont see why they wouldnt stare. So what would you like? Do you want me to tell you what are in the different dishes?" I say looking at the menu

“Is it normal for people to stare like that in public. They look like animals, almost drooling over their food” I giggled, looking down to the menu that was gibberish to me.
“Would you please? Whatever you think I should have. I’m not too picky…” I looked up, the smile large on my lips.

"It is for males. They have troubles keeping their minds in the right place when in the presence of beautiful women." I laugh. "How about I order you some spagetti? It comes with a salad and side of bread sticks. I want to have the Chicken Alfredo." I say with a smile as see Lindsay approach.

I gave a light hum at the thought. I giggled quietly. She was rather amusing. It was true that men were always looking up the skirts of the women in the circus. I hadn’t thought about it like that.
“I haven’t had such food since I was in Italia!” I giggled, squinting my eyes as I nodded quickly. Food was food. It sounded amazing anyway you put it.

"Okay." I look at Lindsay and say, "My usual and Spagetti for her." She wrtes it down and asks, "What would you like for a Drink?" she looks at you first. "I would like Sweet Tea."

I wasn’t even exactly sure what there was. Water. That’s all I had ever had, and mostly that’s all I had ever even know of.
I looked over to the woman who sat patiently, waiting for my response.
“Water” I spoke simply. She turned, and walked away.
“They seem to love you here…” I spoke quietly, afraid someone might hear, and I might get beaten.

"I am here often cause I normally hold private interviews in my booth. Also they know that my father owns this reestraunt and every other one like it. He is the head of a huge coporation. Many corporations. So when I say you are safe. You are. You have been seen with me by everyone here and so if any EVER tries to hurt you or mistreat you if people around know you are with me they will call someone." I say soothingly.

I watched her quietly a moment, nodding quietly. I looked up from the menu that I was still on the table. It was as if I was trying to decipher it. I shook my head, giving up as I closed it.
“It’s not me that I’m worried about, miss.” I spoke honestly, not knowing exactly how else to say it.

"Well dont worry about me either. Cause right now there are security in here set on keepng me safe and my company." I motion to you. "Everywhere I go there are people following me to keep me safe. No one is allowed on my floor of the apartment so no can do anything there. Thats the one special place that no one can come in unless I invite and I want you to stay with me."

I was silent a moment before pushing a hand through my hair. I didn’t know what to say, and in some way I hoped our food would come. I was starving. I sighed quietly, nodding. It was right. She was right. She was safe.

Until the ringleader got into her perfect little system, until he worked it himself. Then he would take her out. He wouldn’t stop. I ran. I deserved to be shot in the head like all other deserters. He would wait years for that. He had the time.

"Here youare ladies." Lindsay says appearng at our table wth drnks and food. "Any cheese?" She offers. "No, I am fne." I say awaitng for you to answer.

I looked up after just wishing for it to come, and it did. I looked up to the woman as she asked us if we wanted Cheese. I smiled, shaking my head as I spoke-
“No thank you ma’am” I smiled, turning back to my Diner partner.
“It sure does smell delightful, I see why you come here so much now” I smirked, leaning back to where my back was against the chair.

"Well I defiantely come here for more than the food. When I want to impress. When I want information for a story. When I want the pleasure of some reasonable company... MAny reasons. Its a well known and high class place that I dont have to worry about being drugged." I shrug and nod to our waitress to dismiss her. Then turn to the pasta before me and begin to roll the noodles onto my fork and place it in my mouth to savor the exquistite taste spreading through my mouth then disappearing down my throat and repeat enjoying the food. "How is your meal?"

I didn't wait for her to finish before I pushed the food into my mouth. I was having a hard time managing the fork, but I comtinued anyway. I smiled, nodding my head. My mouth was full and I didn't feel like being a rude person and talk with my mouth open. I shook my head, tkain gin a depe breath before looking across the resturant.
"I love it" I had swallowed and now I was looking at her as she used manners. Elbows off the table, legs crossed, head high, and everything else that came with it. I cursed myself for not knowing them, but in some ways it wasn't my fault.

"Well thats great. I always love to eat here. We can make it amonthly thing to eat here if you like?" I say taking a nother small bite of my pasta. Savouring the taste of my food. The waitress reappears carrying a small glass of wine I order on occasion and places it on the table after pouring some inside of my glass. I swallow and say "Thankyou." I take another bite and then take a sip of the wine and admire the tastes in my mouth and going down my throat. "Amazing" I speak to myself.

She savors the flavor of the food. It smells incredible and I do love it. I smile to her, nodding as she suggest this being a monthly thing.
“I don’t want to waste your food though…I don’t want to hurt your wallet any” I gave her a small smile, looking ot her a moment before looking back to my food. I take in a large bite before giving a smile. I am silent, the smile continuing to widen on my lips.

"Dont even think about hurting my wallet. I have so much money that I dont know what to do with it. So Monthly will be perfect." I smile and continue to eat my food and sip from my drink until I am almost finished with my meal.

I watch her silently a moment. She sure was beautiful in the lighting of the room. I flushed lightly, shaking my head at my idiocracy. the room was made for the perfect date. Everything was lighted to perfection so the other looked incredible even if they were an ogre. She of course wasn't, but the idea made me think straight.

I sipped at my water. I had finished everything,but the bread on my plate. Bread made you fat. Even though I was a normal weight in most people's eyes, I was still fat. Fat. Fat. Fat. The word echoed in my mind, making the bread unappetizing even to a staring girl like me.

"Is it distasteful?" I ask looking at you and then at the bread remiaing on your plate. I then finsish off my plate of food and smile at you and sudenly from thin air the Waitress appear and removed my plate and then moved on to to remove yours but dips her head in a silent question of whether you were finished or not.

I am silent a moment as she asks me if I don’t like the bread. I smile lightly, trying to keep from answering. She didn’t need to know what I was thinking. The waitress lifts the plate from her table setting. I smile lightly, looking to her a moment before she rounds the table, looking to me. I smile, nodding lightly to the girl. She doesn’t speak to me, taking the plate away before turning and disappearing into the back room wherever it was. I am silent a moment as I take another sip of my drink.
“The food was great” I smile, trying to avoid a straight- answer to her question.

I look at you questioningly then decide to let it drop and stand pushing the chair from the table and then tucking it back in. "I will be back in a moment. Need to excuse myself." I say and slowly walk towards the door and before I get to the door take a right to the restrooms. I walk in and use the toliet as needed and then wash my hands after and check myself in the mirror primping myself before I walk back out.

I look up to her, silently, a small sigh on my lips. She excuses herself to leave me alone at the table, in the restaurant that’s almost completely empty restaurant. I wait a moment before looking toward the exit. I wondered if I should leave. She probably already had enough problems to deal with. I could escape from here and be in the darkness before she knew anything. I would be just like I was before. I would be off on the streets and away from her. I took in a deep breath, watching for her a moment before I rose. I didn’t have anything to write with, I wanted to thank her, and apologize, but I couldn’t. I took in a deep breath as turned, walking toward the exit. My head was down and my feet were quick. I knew it would be awhile before I actually would eat again. I probably should have eaten that bread.

As I walk from around the corner of which the bathroom door was I spot that the table was empty and I could see just the end of her dress disappearing around the corner to the exit. I rush to the table and grab my belongings and rush after you chasing you out the door. I call for you from behind "Wait! Where are you going?"
