Shadows on the Walls(Mercy&Monica)

I've been following you around for quite some time. I always needed you to stay here on earth. On your 8th birthday, you had a big bash at the park and I was slowly dying in a car accident nearby the park you held your birthday party at. Ever since then, I've followed you.
I am an earthbound spirit who has been attatched to you your entire life and I've slowly fallen in love with you. I always have watched quietly, helping you subtly through awkward and messy situations. Yet, I can only watch helplessly as you fall in love with the new girl at your school. I start visiting you in your dreams more as my jealously and anger starts to cloud my mind. You begin to notice me slowly.
But what happens when you try to get me to pass over.

"Well that doesn't say much about who you are deary." I pointed out.

Then again maybe it does. I think quietly to myself for a moment but bite my tongue. I sigh and take a deep breath in again.

"Well... My favorite color is neon green, I love animals, my favorite animal is a wolf... I really enjoy... Well, now, it's reading over your shoulder... Except when you were in your Twilight phase," I laugh lightly, "I enjoy singing, and I really like.... Liked?... Baker Square's pie..."

I chew on my lower lip, placing my hands in my lap and looking over at her.

"The beauty of dreams." I smirked as I reached under my bed which was a fridge and took out a slice of Baker Square pie "Here."

I watch her pull out a piece of pie, "Ah, dream land never lets me down." I laugh silently, a smile swiping across my face.

I look over at her, "Thanks.." I say, sitting cross legged and taking the fork and digging into the pie -- but making sure I didnt look like a total pig...That'd be really embarassing, considering this is the first time I was actually talking to her.

I smiled and nodded. "So anything else? There has to be more."

"Yeah... Before I died, I lived with my stepmom, my dad and his two kids -- my half siblings... Two brothers... Nicco was 3 and Frankie was 6.... They called me mom more then they called my stepmom mom," I laugh lightly, the memories flood back to me, "I... Went to school at Winston Highschool..."

I was a bit embarassed considering she went there now..

I shrug, "I'unno...WHat else do you want to know?"

"Wow really? Like...how long ago? And you brothers..." I frowned wondering if I had known them or not.

"Well.. It was your 8th birthday when I started following you around... I was 17 when I died." I say looking up, "And my brothers are..." My eyes widen as I realize the passage of time between now and the day I died, everything had began to be blurred, and I understood the numbers but the concept of how much time had passed actually shocked me.

"Well... They're... Wow... They're not my babies anymore..." I mumble, and sit there in shock, forgetting about my pie...

I felt bad for asking. I rested my hand on her shoulder. "It's ok..." Not sure what else to say. I sucked at comforting people...how the hell you deal with a spirit?

"I didn't... Realize how much time it really was..." I say, turning to her, my eyes widening slighty, chewing on my lower lip, "I mean I got the fact that it had been a while but everything blurs together after a while... Kinda like playing a video game for hours on end and you feel weirdly tired after it... That's how I felt, hazy..."

I felt her hand on my shoulder as I look down at my lap and I jumped slightly.

Feeling her jump I pulled my hand away. "I'm sorry..." I nodded, "I guess time can blur off easily."

"Yeah.... Is it bad I never visited them?" I ask her, looking up to her, my eyes slightly wide and tear stained.

"I...I don't know..." I got a tissue and wiped her tears.

"T-Thank you.." I stutter slightly and laugh as I lick my lips lightly, "I'm sorry for making this into waterworks... I know you dont do well with comforting." I say with a small laugh.

I blushed lightly and laughed, "Yeah I do lame attempts...It's okay though. I mean you do need this talked out."

"I guess so..." I say quietly, I look over at her with a shrug, "So... What do you want to do?" I ask, "We can go anywhere."

I nodded, "Very true. I don't mind really. Any place you'd like in particular?"

I bite my lower lip, and smile a little, "No." I refrain myself from being cheesy, such as 'Anywhere with you is where I want to be' or something....

I giggle lightly as I look over at her for a moment.

“I love the mountains…waterfalls and such.” I smiled. “I know just the place to take you with me.” I made our surroundings change slowly. “Pulhapanzak.” I said smiling.

"Sounds gorgeous." I say, listening to the roar of waters ripple the air, breaking the silent atmosphere. I smile as the sun begins to kiss my skin and winds whip through my hair.

I take in a deep breath of the misty air and smile, closing my eyes.

I could feel the humidity of the mist hitting on my soft caramel skin; it was so fresh right where we were standing. Even though the sun was hitting on us and still didn’t feel hot. I loved the sounds of nature. The sound of the water rushing down, the birds, crickets, and other animals that were making sounds made the most harmonically relaxation melody. It was better than any of those yoga relaxing CD’s. Nothing could compare to this. I turned to face Mercy, taking in air, smiling and closing her eyes. The mist falling on her, small droplets forming, growing bigger as more mist fell on contact. The light hitting on her pale skin did well. I smiled while I looked at her. “It’s beautiful isn’t it?”

I take in the sun and feel the spray of the waterfall on my skin.

I smile brightly looking over at her, "It's perfect, c'mon!" I give a whimsical laugh, jogging over to the rocks and climbing up to the top of the waterfall.

"You better watch your step!" I called out laughing as I followed her. The rocks were a bit slippery due to the constant humidity.
