    First topic message reminder :

    Basic plot:

On the outskirts of an over-populated, crowded city there lies a village. This is a little village, with only a few houses scattered around what is basically a large field with some gravel roads and one general convenience store in the middle. Normal citizens from the city dare not creep here, for the tales of madmen and the ghosts that haunt this place surround it and engulf it in a security blanket of sorts. The truth, of course, is yours to discover. In this little village, there lives a select community of people, all with powers. Most are teenagers, with there only being a few elders to guide them on their way. There are also ghosts; the paranormal beings who foretell strange occurrences and, this time, have predicted the end of the world. It's a heavy burden to bear for these teenagers, but now they're all set to battle with the darkness slowly rolling across the land (think of The Neverending Story). This blackness brings with it demonic entities that shriek and can scare the living daylights out of you. Not only do these people have to deal with this doomsday stuff, but meddling citizens of the city as well. And some of these meddling people can cause more havoc than good.

Roles (just expand upon these at your whim):
The teenage mutant/superpeople: Danny, May, Adaliea, Dawn, Echo, Dante, Grace
    The Elders:
    The ghosties:
Refugees from villages destroyed by this Darkness: Kristina
    Meddling city dwellers:
    NPCs: Elder Aldric, Elder Territa

WARNING- I haven't role played in god knows how long, which may explain how shitty my posts may or may not be. Please, if you decide to join, bear with me. That is all.

    Mayday OVER AND OUT

[[Lmao, nice move, Kristie. Unfortunately, it isn't gonna be enough (He's burning Pewter as well as having two strength spikes in him, which effectively makes him 30 times stronger and more resilient than a normal human), but hey...for the first appearance of a bad guy, it's a rule that they need to be badass XD]]

The Inquisitor is just about to answer the somewhat terrified young male - he won't hold it against him; his appearance has driven people insane before - when a slightly cockier, more direct female steps up. He gives her a scornful smile; her attitude suggests that she actually can kill him...it isn't arrogance that led him to attack on his own, it's merely him knowing his own abilities. He's stronger than most people in the world, even past the super-strength (one of his strength spikes was driven through a meta-human with super strength, after all), his mind is pretty much immune to all but the most powerful of mental attacks (and you'd need Duralumin to shove your way into his mind) and he has some extra...abilities...that will tip the scales in his favour. Most of these meta-humans are children, and the ones that aren't have likely never been in a real fight before...at the very least, not against something like The Inquisitor.

He tilts his head to the side, though, as he detects something; his senses are keener than any ordinary human, and he can detect an electrical build up in the atmosphere. He looks at the girl...is it her? A Weathermancer, here? His Masters will be particularly interested in that...after all, part of the reason for this attack is to find out the teenagers powers. He's about to move, to stop her doing whatever she's doing, when the hut is filled with smoke, a blinding white light and the faint smell of burning flesh as the lightning bolts summoned by the girl strike him square in the back.

When the smoke clears and everybody has their vision back, the creature is no longer standing upright. Instead, he is kneeling, one hand on the floor as he steadies himself, a few plumes of black smoke slowly rising from his body. He grunts in slight surprise, then heaves himself back to his feet, grinning broadly.
"I suppose," he says slowly as he straightens up again, "that's what I get for stopping to pose dramatically..." he chuckles, and then -
    - he's gone. He reappears a moment later, directly beside the girl. He didn't teleport, only flared his pewter to make him far, far faster than their still-lightning addled brains could process. He smirks, then drives a knee up into the girls stomach, his knee the equivalent of a small freight train as he grips the girl by her shoulders to keep her in place. Not even waiting to see if she twisted to avoid it or not, he delivers a blinding backhand to the back of her head, releasing her to go wherever the momentum takes her. He disregards her, and focuses on the male, advancing and gripping him by the throat, lifting him off of the floor.

[[Anybody who knows me knows that this kinda godmodding is not my usual...for the purposes of this scene, I need to kinda godmod to make it clear how tough the Inquisitors are. Besides...I need to hurry this along quickly, because I'll be gone from Friday to Wednesday, away in Italy ^_^ ]]

The disfigured man stands there, confusing Danny. Was he not going to attack? The girl speaks which annoys Danny. "Kill it? It might have answers!" He tells her as he keeps his eyes focused on the man. "Anyways, it hasn't attacked yet, so maybe we-" The room lights up and blinds Danny. He shields his eyes as the flash flares up. The smell of burning flesh makes Danny look up to see the creature in the ground. Dead? Already?! It seemed that the creature just wanted to contradict Danny as he stood an smiled. Danny got in a fighting stance. "Rain would be nice. Pouring rain." He spoke to the girl just as the creature vanished. Danny blinked a few times in shock, before he turned around to see the monster knee the girl and send her flying.

Danny had seconds to react before he was attacked. Seconds that he didn't utilize well. Before he knew it, he was being lifted off his feet by his throat. Danny grabbed onto the mans tight grip around his throat, trying to break free. Unfortunately, it was like moving steel. The man didn't budge. Danny coughed a few times from lack of air. He then tried kicking the man, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Now gasping for air, Danny swung back from the man. As he did, water rose and wrapped itself around Danny's legs. As he moved forward, he kicked the man in the side with aided force of the water. The blow didn't send him the monster flying, but it was strong enough for him to release Danny. Danny fell to the floor rather ungracefully. He coughed and rubbed his neck, while keeping an eye out for the man's next imminent attack.

Y'know, this is really rather disappointing...there are many, many metahumans in this room, and none of them really seem to be doing much. The girl made an admirable attempt, but she was ultimately useless in the fight. This boy here, he seemed to have so much authority, so much...potential, and yet he is struggling feebly against The Inquisitors immense strength. The others in and around the hut have yet to react, and this boy here will surely be dead by the time they actually manage to do anything. He squeezes tighter, taking a perverse pleasure in watching the light flee from the boys eyes...

A sudden impact sends him back a step or two. It wouldn't force him to release the boy normally, but the limit set on his fight by his Masters - namely, don't kill any of them - means that he must. He takes the opportunity to release the boy, looking at him in mild surprise...this boy hasn't got super strength - he could tell just by the feeble attempts at fighting him off - so what...?
Ah. His eyes alight on the pool of water beneath the boy, and the wet patch on his own stomach. An Aquamancer, eh? Interesting. Those pots must have contained some water, making it a very good place to fight somebody off...the Weathermancer and Aquamancer together could make a very formidable team, if they actually decided to communicate rather than trying to fight separately...but they're teenagers, and the Weathermancer is a new arrival (if she's still alive), so he doubts that they will be working well as part of a team any time soon.

But he must finish this quickly. He doesn't quite understand why villains always hold back their most potent abilities until the last moment, when they could unleash their doomsday machine far earlier...it just doesn't make sense. He is not going to hold back on these pups any more than he has to...he cannot kill them, but he can rough them up a bit.
He smiles nastily, chuckling quietly. "Interesting..." he muses as he turns around. With barely any effort, he punches a hole in the huts wall, tearing down a large segment of it to reveal the outside world. A quick burning of Iron traces faint blue lines that only he can see outwards from him, connecting to every other bit of metal in the immediate area, the width and strength of the coloured line proportionate to the size and weight. He chooses maybe six of the middle-strength lines, and pulls, hard. He is extremely heavy - at least half a ton - so anchoring himself is not a problem. His acute hearing hears the groan of buildings and ground as the things at the end of these lines are pulled from wherever they once lay, and start whizzing towards him.

He steps to the side as the six items approach - three large iron bars, a steel grate from a sewage grill (edges sharp from the sudden, violent upheaval) and two small-but-sharp metal bars from the support of some building - and he stops Ironpulling them, allowing their momentum to carry them past him. He steps back again, behind them, and Steelpushes them all towards the Aquamancer, sending the bits of razor sharp metal hurtling towards him at break-neck speed. Even if he makes a shield of water, it won't reduce the momentum enough to send them harmlessly clattering to the ground...because they're going at a lower velocity than a lot of bullets (and because they're bigger, so there's more to break up upon hitting the water), water will not block them.

It took a while for Danny to regain his barrings. His neck was sore and red from the grip but he stood; this fight was far from over. He didn't have as much time as he would of liked to recover but he'll take what he can. The man rose as well but stood still. Danny wasn't sure what the man was doing but he prepared himself. He ran back as far as he could. The pulled the water towards him, from where he and the man was. Danny possibly got half way across the room when six metal rods came flying into the room. Danny slid to a stop in shock. Where is he getting these things?! he thought to himself.

Water Bending in the art of using your foe's strength as their weakness. It was the art of defense and the flow of the battle. Unfortunately, the battle wasn't flowing so well and this man didn't seem to have a lot of weakness. Defense seemed to be the only option right now. The metal items started to attack and Danny threw up his hand and a large ice wall forced. Safe... Or so Danny thought. The metal seemed to be going so fast that pierced through the ice with ease. The metal rod cut Danny's left arm. Fortunately it only gaze him. Danny screamed at the sudden pain shooting up his arm. It felt like a fire licking up his shoulder. He didn't have time to focus on his injuries. As he screamed, another rod shattered the ice wall and landed inches in front of Danny. He jumped back, melting the ice and pulling it towards him. A bit of the water engulfed Danny's right hand, the rest hovered in front of him.

Danny realized that he wouldn't be able to block the bars. Perhaps deflecting would prove more usefull. As the remaining bars charged towards him, Danny would use the water to push the bars to the left or right of him, pending on the bars location. This seemed to be much more effective. Jumping with every bar, Danny was able to not only survive the most recent attack, but was also further from the man. He panted from the effort (no thanks to the choking). He looked down at his left arm and watched the blood run from his cut and drop in a puddle under himself. He lifted his right hand, still covered in water, and placed it over his cut. The water began to glow and Danny cringed as it healed him. With his cut healed, the water fell to the floor.

Danny looked up at the man. I don't know how long I can keep this up for. For his first test in a fight, Danny wasn't doing so well.

The sudden wall of ice is interesting, though not surprising. An Aquamancer can do pretty much anything that involves water in some form, with enough practice, and a wall of water or ice is one of the first things most of them think to learn...with good reason, of course. A thick enough wall of ice can stop most anything and can be very useful, but the sad truth is that there just isn't enough water that is immediately accessible in this area to make a wall of ice thick enough to stop him. The bars go straight through the wall of ice as if it wasn't even there, and the strangled scream tells him all he needs to know.

The deflection with the water, however, is unexpected...and interesting. Very interesting. This Aquamancer, though obviously inexperienced in combat, is obviously very well versed on the theory behind his powers. Though The Inquisitor could kill him easily, he has been ordered not to kill anybody just yet, and it is far funner to just toy with them. Besides, it's interesting to see what their combat capabilities are...this one boy is proving to be rather adept at handling different situations...let's see how he handles this!

The bars that were on the floor rattle a little as The Inquisitor Ironpulls on them, and a few more bars and grates - and even a fire hydrant - come shooting from behind and to the sides of him, tearing through the walls of the hut where there isn't a hole, the bars and grates that were previously fired at the boy also coming back towards him. As he twists out of their way, ceasing his Ironpull, he again Steelpushes them all towards the teenager, not even stopping to see what happens. They shoot at him one by one and, as they rattle to the floor or spin off into the wall, he Ironpulls them back and Steelpushes them at the boy again, gradually building up until all ten or eleven items are circulating in a tornado of razor sharp metal. Those pieces of metal also circulate around him, making any physical, direct attack from any of the other metahumans here very difficult. As he does this, he takes a step towards the boy, and another, and another, steadily advancing across the room.

Post by Danny Tue Jul 17, 2012 1:05 pm

Ooc - Sorry for past and future mistakes. I'm on my phone while writing most of my replays. Just an FYI.

Bic - Danny stood that baffled. He must of been having a bad dream or something. Every time Danny thinks he's stopped the man, or at least stumped him for some times, he fires back another attack more powerful than the last. Metal bars, sewer grates, a fire hydrant. Danny pauses, deflects a bar coming towards him (only to have it return to it's master), and focuses on the fire hydrant. The fact that it was there has proven helpful to Danny, should be make use of it.

Danny was running out of water, fast. If he remained in the hut, the man would achieve victory for sure. "Hey! You call that a shot?" he taunts as he deflects another bar. "I know ten year olds who-" he paused to barely roll out of the path of a metal bar before continuing. "-Who shot better than that!" Danny runs towards the hole in the wall, dodging or deflecting the metal that continued to fly towards him. One split up and it might be Danny's last. He backs out of the hut slowly, letting the attacks come at him. With the remaining amount of his water, Danny begins to take the offense. Instead of just deflecting the bars, Danny begins to whip at the man with water. With all the attempts, perhaps only one actually hit. The rest were blocked by the flying metal.

Unfortunately for now he was out of water. Most of it either evaporated or it's far away to be of real use to Danny. With the small puddles everywhere, it would have taken too long to collect it all and use it. If he had more time then sure, but not with the barrage of attacks he was facing. Danny looked around though, searching for the one thing he needed. Kristie seemed incapable of creating water now, due to her injuries, but he couldn't wait. There was only one more obvious place for large amounts of water. The fire hydrant (where it used to be that is).

He ran, hearing the sounds of sprouting water, seeing the small flood it created. This was it. The chance he finally needed. A small path outside the hut where the man came from. More bars continue to fly at Danny but this time he didn't to run. Water was on his side. This time, instead of deflecting the bars of metal, he froze them completely. Suddenly, it seemed like a small path of frozen metals lining up between the man and Danny. He took his chance. Running towards the man, Danny screamed as he swung his arm back in for a punch. He punched the man. It wasn't the result he was hoping for. The punch seemed to hurt Danny more than the man. Maybe not one of my better ideas.

The Inquisitor laughs scornfully as he follows the Aquamancer out; his feeble attempts to goad him are literally less than useless. He's fought everything from Super-Strength beings to Pyromancers to secret Government experiments, and always come out on top. Of course, that's when he's allowed to kill the target rather than just toy with them, but that's neither here nor there. If he's honest, toying with him is harder than killing him, because you risk getting yourself hurt when you're messing around, rather than being deadly serious...

Like now, for instance. The small lake created by the Hydrants absence has given the Aquamancer an abundant source or water to draw on. Though this continued use of his abilities has got to be draining his energy reserves - The Inquisitor hasn't got that problem, considering that he's burning Pewter - he could easily fight on for a while with this much water. His projectiles are frozen in the air, and The Inquisitor stops his advance; though he could easily avoid the water with his enhanced speed, it would take far more effort than he was anticipating...interesting...
But the boy does not do what he was expecting him to do. He charges headlong at The Inquisitor, pulling back his fist and throwing a punch at him that he doesn't even bother to block.
The punch doesn't move him at all, and the Inquisitor looks down at the Aquamancer scornfully. "What was that?" he sneers as he grabs the Aquamancers arm, wrenching it to the side. He uses his other arm to cannon a fist into the Aquamancers stomach, before grabbing him by the back and throwing him as far as he possibly can away from the small lake of water. Then, using his speed, he pursues the newly airborne male, coming to a rest a mere few feet from where he lands in a shower of dirt and dust.
"You can't win," he says simply, advancing towards the Aquamancer.

I knew the bolts wouldn’t win the battle.. But I had hoped they would have done more than they did. The attack was something he walked off in seconds. So wearing him down wasn’t an option. You needed to take him out, at once with a great amount of power. Fighting him over time would only weaken us, piss him off, and end this battle in his favour. He had to have a weakness! His speed was unbelievable.. If only it was night. Close combat is where the moon gives me an advantage. He may be fast.. But when the sun sets, I’m faster. However, that’s useless to think about now. Fight with what I have. I coughed out a couple drips of blood onto my hand, shaking the warm liquid onto the ground as I stood up. The creature had created a vortex around himself.. Metals. That’s his power. I’ve never had to fight with anyone or anything with that type of ability before. It wasn’t common. The boy was still oddly alive.. Actually, now that I think about it, why am I still alive? If he was able to hit me as he did, why didn’t he simply smash my skull into the ground? Kill me instantly? Rid me? He said he wanted to kill us.. So why isn’t he? Are we alive, only because he wants us to?

I could see Danny struggling to keep up, God only knows the attacks he’s endured while I regained myself. It was now or never on the rain. I stood up, and what felt like before I even told it to.. The rain began. A few drops here and there, but the downpour rolled in, heavier and heavier as the time went on. I could make it a lot worse.. But strength was not something I could be generous with at the moment. He would make do with what I gave him. Well, whenever he can get up.

A deep breath, and I was ready to go again. I looked at the creature, which was so focused on Danny I think he’s well forgotten about me. However I’m sure the sudden rain has jogged his memory that I’m not dead yet. Oh but he’s exactly where I wanted him now.. Outside.

“You’re just as bad as the kid! Stop talking about killing us, and just do it already!” I sometimes rant as well.. But it’s only because I’m buying myself time. While I was screaming at the beast, the clouds above us circled around he and I. You could feel the wind, down here and above us forming what I hope will put at least a good dent in this thing. I’m not expecting it to kill him, but if I get him to stop for just a couple seconds, it’ll give me time to think how we can kill it. He’s heavy.. But he’s not heavy enough to withstand what I have coming. In seconds the wind picked up.. And I mean literally. It spiraled us and a good portion of the village. I didn’t have the time or patience to pit point it to just this area, and to be honest I didn’t give much of a shit. Sorry for the destruction, but your lives will be worth the repair bill.

Mixing with the heavy rain, debris began to take with the wind from other structures caught around us and from the destruction the beast had already caused. By now you could feel what was not only a pressure from behind or in front of you, but a pull upwards. Suction towards the haunting black clouds. Just looking at the rain would tell you this, if you couldn’t feel it. I’ll worry about Danny after this, nine times out of ten people don’t get hurt in my crossfire because I know how to control it.. But there is room for error.

I tried my hardest to focus the majority of the pull on the area the beast was standing in, but still some roofs were being disconnected and tossed into the air. More pressure I thought.. more pull. I need to get him up before he does something to counteract this. And that’s exactly what I got. In one quick moment, the creature’s feet went from on the dirt to high in the sky, circling in my own vortex, soaking him in the process. I only wish I could have done this faster.. But working on a half empty tank takes patience. I wouldn’t push it by flying up there, and just do what I wanted. The wind took hold of his body, and sent him shooting for the Earth about 100 feet from where we stood.

OOC- IF this is obnoxious Godmodding.. Let me know, and I’ll edit. I just can’t see him being SO heavy that the air strength is useless against him. Nothing saying the impact has to cause him any damage, this is just my attack.

Also, to your previous comment, I had no intension of this monster being a one shot KO xD I wouldn’t expect that from you.

ooc: Don't worry about it...I still have some tricks up my sleeve (he hasn't even begun to use his Temporal abilities...when he's using Atium, he's pretty much invincible in hand-to-hand combat), and if you're having this much trouble with one of them...think what will happen if the second one shows up. XD

    Ic:

The rain starts, and The Inquisitor growls; the Weathermancer. He should have made sure that she was unconscious, at least, before moving on to the Aquamancer...this sudden downpour will no doubt invigorate him, and The Inquisitor is starting to run low on reserves. He won't be done for a long time, not by a long shot, but if he gets a spare moment, it may be an idea to ingest some more metals (handily stored inside loose segments of his own body, to avoid theft). The rain may affect some peoples visibility, but not The Inquisitor; the blue lines remain and, since rain has no metal in it, he can see as if it were still blue skies. The wind picks up, however, and before he can react, the ground shoots away from his feet and he goes hurtling through the air...

Before being dropped to the ground at almost double the velocity that he went up. Though it won't kill him, it may well bruise something...if he allows it to happen. He's an Inquisitor; he's been through this kinda thing before when he was fighting a Superman wannabe in Seattle...the idiot had all the powers, he'll give him that much. Still.
He Ironpulls a coin from his pocket, flicks it in front of him and Steelpushes it, sending it streaking through the downpour to disappear into the suddenly dark village. Even he can't hear the clink of contact, but he feels it; as soon as the coin hits the ground, he lurches to a stop; whatever force is sending him downwards (wind, probably), it isn't strong enough to counteract the mass of the Earth holding him up. The sudden forces would kill any human...but he is not human, and he is flaring pewter to make sure his body can handle it easily. He twists in the air, and with his perfect vision, spots the girl easily. Pushing on the coin harder - flaring his Steel - he streaks up suddenly, appearing before the girl...but he doesn't linger.

    "Fine."
He grabs the girl and, angling his body downwards, stops his Steelpush. The wind carries him and the girl both, and he Ironpulls on a sewage pipe beneath the street to increase the momentum of their downward travel, so even if she does stop the wind...she can't stop their descent. A mere two or three stories from the ground, he uses his immense strength to push her ahead of him, places his feet on her back, and braces himself.
"Let's see how well you control the weather when you can barely see straight!" He yells, just loud enough for her to hear, before he kicks her the remaining distance with all the power in his legs with bone-shattering force...
Directly at the spot where the Aquamancer is lying. He starts pushing on the coin as soon as he's kicked her, and springs backwards a few feet to stand suspended in the air between the two forces. Even as he lurches to a stop, he reaches inside a small scar on his arm and pulls out a few vials. Lifting them to his lips, he downs them in one and throws them away, allowing the wind to carry them far away from here. Instantly, he can feel his Iron, Steel and Pewter reserves jump back to maximum, and three other reserves appear...just in case. Because he isn't human, even if he doesn't use them, they shouldn't cause him any harm remaining in his stomach.

Danny stood there confused. I know I don't have super strength or anything, but... really?! He curses to himself. The man didn't budge at all. He stood there like a feather had landed on his face. Before Danny could retreat or think of an alternative plan, the man acted. He grabbed the arm Danny used to punch with and twisted it around his body, forcing him to twist. Danny grunted at the pain, not wanting to give the man the satisfaction of hurting him. It didn't last long though as the man brought his fists up to his stomach. Danny froze from the pain of the punch. He had never been attacked like that before. The brute force of the punch cause Danny to gasp for air and keel over. Basically defenseless, the man grabbed the clothing on Danny's back and chucked him into the distance, away from his only source of water.

He landed on the ground hard, rolling from the momentum of the throw. A small cloud of dust and dirt arose from Danny's impact. He stayed on his back, coughing from his injuries. He starred at the sky for seconds before the man returned to his side. Can't a guy catch a break? He moaned to himself, even in his thoughts. "That's..." Danny began, but paused to catch his breath. "... Where you're..... wrong.... We don't.... give up around... here." Danny struggled to speak, struggled to get to his feet, and utterly failed to be either intimidating or inspiring.

Suddenly a voice appeared from behind us. It was the new girl. Danny's head looked up to see her standing not to far from us. Help would be useful; of course it's always better late than never. The winds began to pick up. A first it seemed almost natural, but they grew strong and strong. Not only had the winds changed, but the water. Rain start to pour! Slowly at first, but soon enough was falling that Danny could really use. He stood up (struggling of course) and fought with the winds as they continued to grow stronger. At one point, Danny had to cover his feet and half of his shine in ice to keep himself from falling over or flying up. The rain would help Danny though, and the cool feeling of it made Danny feel immensely better.

It was time to see what was truly going on though. Danny had covered his eyes with his forearm to prevent dust, dirt, and debris from bothering his vision. At first he couldn't see right, just a small tornado around him. It was then it donned on him the presence of the girl and man. They weren't there. Danny looked up to see both of them falling. "Watch out!" Danny screamed, clearly unaware of the fact that the man had gotten a hold of the girl. It wasn't until he pushed her down that Danny realized what was going on. Defrosting his legs, Danny jumped back, as to avoid getting crushed, and pulled is arms up, his hands facing the ground. He didn't do it just once however, he continued to throw his hands up. As he did so a tower of water began to appear from the water around them. It started off small at first, but as the tower grew larger, the base grew wider. Finally, after the base was large enough and the tower tall enough, Danny pushed up with both hands, keeping his stance fairly wide. The tower shot up from the ground and engulfed the falling girl.

The entrance into the water wasn't graceful to say the least, and no doubt that it hurt her, but it was the only thing Danny could do to save her from impacting the earth. As the water touched the ground, it ran in all directions, leaving the girl wet on the ground. Danny starred at her for a second, before standing in front of the girl. They were both vulnerable from attack, so Danny started to take the offense. Danny wasn't sure how the man stayed afloat unless he had flying abilities. Unless he did, his movements in the sky wouldn't be so graceful, therefore making it harder to protect yourself from attack. Danny drew water from the ground and formed a rather thick icicle. He stayed beside him for a moment, before Danny punched the air and sent it flying towards the man. Icicle after icicle he sent, hoping they would cause at least some damage.

Sorry to nitpick, but at the velocity that she was travelling, any contact with water would have been the same as hitting concrete...there is a far higher chance of her dying from contact with the water than on the floor, especially given that she wasn't exactly controlling her entrance. XD But hell, we'll ignore that for now. Smile

    IC:

The Inquisitor only has the briefest of moments to see that the teenagers are ok, more or less, before he has to react to the latest threat; a series of icicles begin to form around him, all pointing directly towards him. He looks around casually; no point in worrying when this is fairly easy to counter. With his super-resilience, not to mention his Pewter-enhancement, those icicles would barely scratch him. However. They could prove a distraction that he doesn't really desire, so...
He begins to burn his Atium as slowly as possible. Atium is the fastest burning metal, so he has to be conservative with his usage, but getting out of this situation should take very little time.

At once, the entire world seems to lurch in his vision a little, and he looks around cautiously. A moment later, a small purple shadow flits through his chest from behind, and his Atium-enhanced mind processes it instantaneously, his body twisting to avoid the icicle that the shadow belonged to. Another shadow from his left, which he avoids, then his right, then all over...but his Atium-enhanced mind allows him to twist and turn and avoid pretty much every icicle, catching them and crushing them in his steely grip, sending the melted ice up into the wind as steam. He does this for maybe ten or twenty seconds, though it feels longer, before he tires of the game. He stops burning Atium, but before the icicles can take advantage, he stops Steelpushing and drops down a little. As soon as his feet hit the floor, he's Steelpushing on the thickest strand behind him and Ironpulling on the thickest in front of him, and suddenly he's shooting forward even faster than in the hut, aided by his Pewter-enhanced legs. He appears before the Aquamancer, driving another fist - this time momentum-fueled, too - into the Aquamancers already queasy stomach. He grabs the kids back again, but instead of throwing him away, he instead shoves it down into the concrete, smashing the teenagers skull into the ground. Not hard enough to kill him, but...well. He wouldn't trust the boys chances of walking straight. Leaving the Aquamancer on the floor, he moves over to the Weathermancer, breathing heavily on the ground...and places a Pewter-fueled foot on the girls throat. He Ironpulls and Steelpushes on several thick strands nearby to prevent himself from being moved as he presses his foot down slowly and insistently. Let's see her manipulate the weather when her brain is being starved of oxygen...

[[Don't worry, Grace and Dante will arrive to "save the day," as per Dante's plan, before he can do any lasting damage Smile ]]

ooc - I figured, but having said that, it would of been weird for me to just let her fall on the ground. It's hard explaining water bending, but she didn't so much as land in the water as the water circled itself around her as she was falling... if that make sense.

ooc - the scare me. I don't appreciate them. Getting my ass whooped doesn't help either :p

bic - Danny couldn't believe how the man maneuvered. He twirled past or crushed the icicles like they were nothing. Punch after punch Danny goes, sending icicle after icicle towards the man. There was not effect. This man seemed invincible. "Come! On! You! Bloody! Bastard!" Danny screamed with every punch, hoping his attacked would at least do something. Nothing to his dismay. He stops his attack of icicles as the man drops. Danny wanted to believe that he got hit and was falling, but the way he moved made it seem more like he was landing not falling.

He shouldn't have taken that pause, however. Before Danny could get a good view of the man a good distance away, he appear right in front of Danny. Can he teleport too?! He barely got through his thought before his fist connected with Danny't stomach. He couldn't believe it. The force of the punch not only caused Danny off his feet, but it also cause blood to escape his mouth as he coughed from the trauma of the force. His world began to swirl around his and his will to fight was quickly disappearing. Yet just when Danny thought the worst was over, more comes. He feels the fabric on his back being tugged, but can't do anything to stop himself as he is thrown in the ground head first. The crushing force of this attack causes Danny to be knocked out. He lays there limp the the dirt and mud as the ran falls and the man continues to fight.

I could feel the broken bones in me mending ever so slowly while I lie on the ground. He shouldn’t have been able to get a single hand on me, let alone use my own attack against me. I wish this bastard had fought me at full strength.. That battle that would have been. I could have put up an actual fight, instead of this embarrassing display that’s been going on for a while now. I probably could have won if I’d had time to think things through. If the worrying of passing out from exhaustion was constant in the back of my head. At this point I wasn’t sure what would kill me first.. Myself, by draining all my powers, or this creature that more and more confirmed what I’d been thinking.. He’s holding back. He’s been doing so the entire time. If he was put here to kill us, he’d kill us. Not swat us around like flies. So either he hasn’t got the balls to do it, or he just can’t.. Because he’s not allowed.

Just then, before I could turn over to get back up a heavy pressure appeared on my throat. Looking up behind the now visible foot were those spikes in the place of the eyes that I’m sure if he had, would be just as hideous. Suffocate me, eh? Doesn’t exactly sound like a method of killing this thing is too into. I’d say that’s a more gentle way of killing someone painfully.. Why not just step on my head. Fine, if this dumbass wants to keep procrastinating with my death, that’s even if he can kill me, I won’t give him the satisfaction of seeing me die slowly.

While there was still an air in my lungs, I tried only to get myself free. Earlier I noticed the weather had bonded with my emotions.. Linking itself to everything I felt, and my mind. Like it could see what was going on through my own eyes. Well, with my life being threatened.. It wasn’t too happy. I didn’t bother trying to push his foot off with my hands, instead I relaxed my body, and besides the lack of air.. I took comfort in relaxing on the cold, wet earth beneath me. Put my arms at my side, closed my eyes and smiled.. I only wish I could have given some smart ass remark.

The clouds let up on the wind, taking it’s focus off the power of the tornado and giving me one last build up of electricity as my request. What it did exactly wasn’t up to me.. I couldn’t focus at this state, clearly. I expect it would have been a weak strike given my state.. But with the connection it had to me, it’s own anger would make sure this strike would be a good one. As if I was in the sky I could see the charge forming, and I felt the sparks shoot around my body. In less time than before, the build up finished and struck down six different bolts of lightening, spiraling amongst each other in a violent frenzy.. Aimed at the beast. It hit him without warning, sending his body off of mine and giving me the opportunity to roll away from it, breaking free. I gasped in the air that was blocked from me, and got to my knees quickly before anything else could happen. I couldn’t see yet where the beast was.. Or how much that was did to him, but I didn’t much care. I just needed a shove to get him off my throat. I hope it at least did SOMETHING.

    Ooc: Not a clue.

    IC:

The Inquisitor growls as he is blasted back by the Weathermancer...though the strike was far more powerful than the last time he was struck by lightning, it is still not strong enough to do any lasting damage; there is a slightly charred area in the middle of his chest, but that is it. No more damage is immediately visible, and he was only forced back a few steps...if he could just crush this girls skull and be done with it, he would have finished this fight ages ago. But he is forced to play with her as a cat plays with a mouse, and she is managing to hold on...though barely. Now that her friend, the Aquamancer, is unconscious and bleeding on the floor, she will not be able to continue to fight much longer.
He takes a few steps towards her and stoops down, grabbing her by the hair and yanking her upright painfully. Releasing her hair, he regrips her head and lifts her off the floor so she is left kicking at nothing...how easy would it be to just squeeze?

The Inquisitor lurches forwards suddenly, releasing his hold on the Weathermancers head. A slight throbbing sensation radiates from his chest, and he looks down to find a jagged, barbed pole sprouting from his chest. So. They've finally shown up...he was wondering how long they would make him play with these whelps.
Just as he's thinking that, the pole lurches backwards and the barbs catch on his chest, and after a brief moment of resistance, he is wrenched backwards at break-neck speed, towards his unseen assailants.
Behind him, Grace is Ironpulling as hard as she can on the pole in the Inquisitors upper body, having taken up a strategic position behind her brother, Dante. The force of the Ironpull has her pressed flat against his back as the superior weight of the Inquisitor should be pulling her towards it, rather than the other way around. However, since she's pushed up against Dante, she isn't going anywhere; Dante has tapped into his Ironmind to draw out just enough weight for him to act as an anchor for her, and with her burning Pewter to make sure she isn't crushed by the resulting forces, his enhanced weight is bringing the creature towards them.

She releases her Ironpull just as the creature gets within range, its momentum carrying it ever closer. Grace staggers back, released from the huge force that was pressing her closer to Dante, just in time to see the show; Dante taps into his Pewtermind and, as she watches, his muscles bulge visibly, he grows taller and broader, and soon he is ten, twenty times bigger than his normal self, and about thirty times stronger. He's a hulking behemoth, and as the Inquisitor draws closer, he pulls back his fist -
    - and delivers a crunching blow to The Inquisitors head, sending it cartwheeling across the floor to land in a heap at the base of a now-overflowing fountain. The rain and the fountain water has drenched it through, and after a moments hesitation, it pulls itself to its feet, flaring Pewter to aid in the effort.

He growls furiously. "You..." it snarls as Dante returns to his normal size, and Grace steps up beside him. Dante inclines his head.
"Yes. Us. Leave now, while you have the chance, Abomination."
"I will," the Inquisitor spits vehemently, "Once I have your heads!"
And it charges. It takes a step forwards, then flares Pewter, and is suddenly dashing across the small distance as fast as he can, almost faster than the eye can see. Grace ducks to the side and Dante taps into his Steelmind, increasing his speed massively to move out of the way, disappearing in a spray of dirt and water. This sudden move avoids The Inquisitors knee, but Grace isn't so fast; his backhand catches her across the back of the head, and she spins with the force of the impact, only narrowly avoiding The Inquisitors follow up punch. She ducks beneath his outstretched arm, Pewter giving her the ability to recover quickly, and flares it, twisting and throwing the Inquisitor over her shoulder. The Inquisitor, however, lands lithely on his feet, twists and throws Grace around his own body and smashing into the floor. She cries out in surprise and not a little amount of pain, but The Inquisitor doesn't pay attention; his enhanced senses have heard something.

He turns around just in time to deflect the now re-gargantuan Dante's huge fist - Dante is now easily four or five times bigger than The Inquisitor, but they are equally matched for strength - sending his own fist cannoning into Dante's stomach. Dante grunts, staggering backwards, but recovers in time to catch The Inquisitors fist that was aimed at his head. His entire body reverberates at the contact, but he is able to keep his footing as his own fist collides with The Inquisitors side, driving the breath from him in a gasp. Dante draws back again and delivers an uppercut that on anybody else would have been enough to shatter the skull, which sends the Inquisitor careening -

    - straight into Grace. She uses her own Pewter burning to drive a fist into The Inquisitors stomach, forcing him to double over, where she catches him on her shoulders, holding him up with her pewter-enhanced muscles. Steelpushing on a source of metal deep beneath the ground, she rockets into the air with the newly stunned Inquisitor, before releasing him and Steelpushing herself away and then Ironpulling herself back to the ground. The Inquisitor regains his bearings and, Ironpulling and Steelpushing on numerous sources of metal dotted around, rights himself as he flies through the air, trying to find Dante and Grace.

His senses pick up something behind him and he turns...to see a gigantic and now extremely light - thanks to the Ironmind - leaping through the air up towards him, closer, closer, closer...
And past. He shoots past the Inquisitor, and for a moment, he thinks he's missed...and then Dante takes all the weight he can manage from the Ironmind, and drops like a ten ton weight - which he does, in fact, now weigh - directly on top of The Inquisitor, catching him in the back. The Inquisitor attempts to Steelpush on the sewage pipe, but Dante weighs too much; the ground cracks as the sewage pipe is forced further beneath the ground -

A massive cloud of dust, rock and rubble explodes upon impact, a mushroom cloud of debris forming briefly before being dissipated by the rain. A few moments later, Dante bounds out of it, shrinks mid-flight and comes to an elegant rest beside Grace, who is still burning Pewter, if only to avoid shivering. Dante himself is drawing from his Brassmind, a piercing in his naval, to keep himself warm. They eye the cloud for a moment, before hurrying to the side of Daniel and the Weathermancer.
Grace instantly goes for Danny, kneeling beside him and lifting him up into her arms tenderly, easily lifting him due to her Pewterburning. She shakes her head.
"What did he do to you...?" she murmurs. What she means is 'He wasn't supposed to knock you out,' but if anybody else heard it, it would sound like genuine concern, especially given that her Coppercloud is still active. Dante, meanwhile, makes a beeline for the Weathermancer. He shoots a slightly suspicious look at Grace, but allows it to slide, before leaning down to check on the Weathermancer. She's still breathing; good....and she appears to be conscious.
"If you're well enough," he shouts over the rain, "Would you mind stopping this? It's hindering rather than helping right now!"

Danny had never felt pain like this. While pasted out, the memory of him waking up after a day of training pops into his mind. At that age, he thought pain was a sore body after a hard days work. But after today, Danny understood what real pain felt like. His body was covered in sweat, mud, and blood. His nose was broken and he had various fractures over his body. One on his head, one of his left arm, and a couple fractured rips. Nothing life threatening, which wasn't any comfort to him. His body remained in the mud for the duration of Grace and Dante's fight. His body didn't move, save the movement of him breathing, and he saw nothing but black. Tired, drained, and scared from the fight, Danny was unconscious.

He wasn't sure how long he was out for, but when Danny awoke, he saw the blurred vision of Grace. He blinked a few times, adjusting to light and moaned from the pain. "Grace...?" he struggled to even say that. He looked up at her, trying to keep awake. Despite his best attempts, his eyes forced themselves shut as Danny fell back into unconsciousness. He was embarrassed to be with Grace in such a state, but Danny couldn't help it. The injuries on his body forced Danny asleep. He would heal them when he awoke, but until he was strong enough to stay awake (never mind bend), he was defenceless.

An unfamiliar face appeared above my face after I dropped against the ground. He let me go? Or he was forced to? Uh.. I didn't care. The point was that my head wasn't being slowly torn away from my neck anymore. At least we've got some reenforcement.. Hopefully the useful kind. An entier village of us and the battle was left to Danny and I? Where are these so called Elders that govern these people? They showed to be less than useless when it came to protecting their people.. Pathetic. The more I stayed here, the less and less I'm liking it. I doubt this is where I'll stay.

"Glady." I responded in a laugh, along with an unexpected smile. At this point getting angry wouldn't do much good.. Why not just laugh it off. I let go of the focus on the rain, but kept the wind and dark clouds in play. I may just get enough strength lying, soaking in the light (which still effects me, even if it's behind the clouds) here to help out one last time before passing out. I wonder what they'd done to the beast after he dropped me? God I hope he's near dead, so at least I could look him in the face when we kill him.

I stood up as quickly as I could without falling over, then rubbing my eyes free of the mud and water that hit me when the thing dropped me to the ground again. I'll admit I feel slightly embarassed with my performance today.. But in a defense, fighting solo isn't something I've done many a times.. No offence to Danny. We fought as a unit, me and my squad. Back when we were the ones that people in our village relied on to protect them. We were never alone. Those feelings didn't seem to apply after everyone had been killed. The rest of us split up.. Our faces being a reminder of everything that just happened.

I opened my eyes fully, seeing the man who spoke to me just now. "How'd you know it was me making the rain?"

Dante laughs, but not scornfully; it's more of a slightly amused sound, only just carrying through the rain. "It's fairly obvious. It went from blazing sunshine to hurricane-force winds and torrential rain in less than a minute, so it can't be natural - not in this part of the world, anyway - and The Inquisitors -" he gestures to the still-dusty cloud and crater "- lack Weathermancy as an ability. And it certainly isn't Danny, considering that he was unconscious when you summoned those lightning bolts to help you..." He shrugs. "Now...about the rain..." He tilts his head, smiling wryly as he helps her to her feet.

"Dante," Grace says, coming up beside him, "I need to get Danny out of here. He's hurt, bad...he's lucky The Inquisitor didn't kill him with that blow." More than a little anger carries through her voice, and Dante raises an eyebrow; is she starting to get attached to this boy? Grace gives him a withering glare. "We don't have time for your jealousy, Dante," she snaps; she's actually more angry that The Inquisitor almost killed him, disobeying an order, but she won't lie, she doesn't want Danny to die just yet.
Dante inclines his head in acknowledgement. "Get him out of here, then, and make sure he's ok...but get back here as soon as possible. I don't fancy our chances on our own..." Grace nods and reaches into her pocket, drawing out a small coin. Dropping it to the floor, she Steelpushes on it and streaks away, disappearing into the night. Dante turns back to the Weathermancer.

"He isn't dead...it's extremely hard to kill these things. We need to hold on until Grace gets back to help." As if on cue, a scornful laugh fills their ears, and Dante turns to look; The Inquisitor is stepping out of the crater, stretching his arms out by his side. A small amount of blood is visible from a small scratch on his lip, but that's it. He growls.

Danny awoke to the feeling of air rushing through his hair. He kept his eyes close a second, enjoying the feeling of the air. The cool breeze whipping past his head was a great contrast to the warmth of not only his body, but someone else's as well. He opens his eyes, happy to see Grace. A stupid grin appears on his face as he watches her hair move in the air. She seemed so graceful, sticking true to her name. "Where are we?" Danny asked in a hoarse tone. "That man, is he gone?" As he asking another question, he tried to sit up right, not realizing that it was just Grace bringing him away from the fight. It was at this moment that it dawned on Danny the fact that Grace was not only lifting Danny by herself, but she was also travelling through the air. She had powers, which is something Danny thought she never had. He refrained from asking her about it though.

He was just happy to with her now. Though he usually imagined him holding her, this reverse reality was just as good for Danny. Danny closed his eyes, this time by choice, and smiled as his head fell against Grace's body. "And is everyone alright?" he finished in a cough. His eyes remained closed as he spoke. He assumed that since Grace had taken him away from the battle, it was over. They landed uptop a building and Danny slowly opened his eyes again.

    Ooc -

    -_-

Okay, basically one of Murdoch's Inquisitors attacked the hut. Kristie and I fought it. We got our asses kicked. Dante and grace came to save the day... Basically where we're at. That's all in lame-man terms though. It happened much cooler than that. =p
We are currently not far from the hut. I guess just make some excuse as to why you weren't in the fight and stuff.

OOC: Don't hate me Danny :C I'll do a little post reuniting May with errybody else; very sorry if I get something wrong. Also very sorry for my extremely shitty excuse.

BIC: I can't remember anything. Waking up in the forest is disconcerting enough when I wake up; it's even worse when I wake up in the city. I sit up, groaning, in a dark alleyway with a smelly hobo sititng by on top of a cardboard box.

"Wolf?" He asks me stupidly, spittle dripping down his chin and splashing down onto his box. His really nasty, dirty box. I stand up and stretch as my whole body screams out in such a painful soreness, the likes of which I have not felt before.

"No, I'm human, like you. And you need to keep quiet or else I'll be forced to kill you." Harsh words, I know, but I'm feeling cranky and I'm not happy whatsoever about where I am.

"Die." He growls and bares his gums at me. Seems the poor fella's missing a few teeth. I give a weak smile in apology and turn my back on him, heading deeper into the alley. Hopefully it isn't a dead end type thing; if it is, dammit. I walk for five minutes before finding the chain link fence, adjoining a yard near the edges of the city with this alleyway. Wonderful city layout. I hope over it, thinking about how many fences I'm going to have to jump before I get back to the village. It's going to be painful, putting it mildly.

I double over, huffing and puffing, right outside the village, bent over with my hands flat against my thighs for support.

"What the hell?" I growl, feeling the discontent in the air, the birds flying about in agitated patterns, the minds in the village in a chaotic jumble I can't hope to understand. Grabbing at my head (god it hurts- the crazy jumbling thoughts of those in the village is killing me) I run toward the Elder hut. Not really watching where I'm going, I almost run right past Dante and Kristie and... what?

"What the hell... is ... going on?" I'm out of breath and can barely get the sentence out as I straighten up. This place looks like it's gone to hell.
